Dr. Matthew R. Cannon

Dr. Cannon performed his undergraduate studies at the University of Arkansas at Monticello. He earned his doctorate degree in optometry from the Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. He also obtained a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry.

Dr. Cannon is a member of the American Optometric Association and the North Carolina Optometric Society. He is also currently the chief optometrist at Hendersonville Eye Care.

Dr. Cannon enjoys mountain biking, road biking, hiking and spending time with his wife, Cindy, and their two children, Matthew and Aubrey.

Dr. J. Douglas Kilgo

Dr. J. Douglas Kilgo earned his bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University and his master’s in Public Health from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He did research at the Baylor School of Medicine & Wake County Health Department before attending optometry school. He graduated from the University of Houston, College of Optometry in 1980. After practicing with wife Suzanne Kilgo, OD for 17 years, he joined Hendersonville Eye Care in 1999.

Dr. Floy W. Kampe

Dr. Floy W. Kampe is a graduate of Wake Forest University with a Bachelors degree in Biology. She received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia.

Dr. Kampe is a native of Arden, North Carolina. She has practiced optometry in the Asheville Area since 2000 and has fourteen years of experience in Low Vision. She is currently a member of the Mountain District Optometric Society, North Carolina State Optometric Society and the American Optometric Association.

Dr. Kampe and her husband have two children. She is an active baseball mom and dance mom, and also enjoys cooking and photography.
